Visited Honduras for 10 days. Solid experience. Scene is as described. Pricing excellent value.
Spent $80/day. Best part: variety.
Overall: 8.5/10. One of my favourites.

How does it compare to Czech Republic?

Interesting take but I think you overpaid. Try using a different site next time.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

I was there in March and prices were exactly as described.
Spent about $81/day all-in. Quality was excellent.
My tip: avoid weekends.

This is outdated info IMO. Things have changed since the pandemic. Current prices are about the same than what's described here.

Hmm, I had a different experience. Prices were lower when I went. Maybe timing matters.
