Language barrier in Pattaya — how bad is it?

Not sure I agree about the area recommendation. I found a different neighborhood to be better.

The scene has definitely improved since my last visit in pre-COVID.

Biggest change: Some of the old spots have closed.

Still a great destination. One of my top 3 worldwide.

I was there in early March and can add some detail:

Prices: Exactly as described. I spent about $100/day on the hobby side.

Girls: Mix of local and working girls from other regions. Quality was above average.

My favorite spot was the freelancer area near the hotels.

One tip: Avoid weekends if you want better prices.
