Safety update for General Information based on recent experience and community reports:

General Safety Level: Moderate — use common sense and you will be fine.

Common Risks:
- Taxi overcharging — always use app-based rides
- Fake police demanding bribes — ask for badge number
- Romance scams — be skeptical of offers

Areas to Avoid:
Avoid the area around the bus station at night.

Police Situation:
Avoid any interaction with police if possible.

Stay safe out there.

Adding my experience: scene has stayed the same since pre-COVID. Biggest change: better quality.

Word of caution — do not carry too much cash. Other than that, great destination.
