Planning my first trip to Venezuela. Read through the older threads but wanted to check if info is still current.

My main questions:
1. Best area to stay for easy access to the scene?
2. Realistic daily budget including accommodation?
3. Any areas to avoid?
4. How is the quality compared to Czech Republic?
5. Best time of day to go out?

Coming from the UK with experience in a few different countries but first time in Venezuela.

Any recent reports or recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

Adding my experience: scene has bounced back since pre-COVID. Biggest change: more online activity.

Agreed on all points. Make sure to bring small bills.

Word of caution — be careful with street touts. Other than that, great destination.

I was there in February and prices were exactly as described. Spent about $120/day all-in.

My tip: avoid weekends.

Did you use local sites or find girls at clubs?

First time was overwhelming but exciting. Second time was 10x smoother. Experience makes all the difference.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.

I was there in March and prices were slightly higher. Spent about $100/day all-in.

My tip: midweek is much better.

Word of caution — some online profiles are fake. Other than that, great destination.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?
