Returned from 11 days in Cali. Solid experience.

Accommodation:
Guesthouse near the main area. $41/night. Walking distance to everything.

Scene:
Busy and well-organized. Prices were fair for the quality.

Quality:
Varied — some great, some average. Had 8 encounters total.

Logistics:
Rented a motorbike for flexibility. Street food was a highlight.

Safety:
Used common sense and had no problems.

Overall: 7.5/10. Already planning next trip.

Happy to answer any questions.

Quick question — how was the wifi?

I was there in January and prices were about average. Spent about $120/day all-in.

My tip: try the local spots away from tourists.

First time was a learning experience. Second time was so much more efficient. Experience makes all the difference.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Been there 12 times now. Still one of my top destinations. The consistency is what keeps me coming back.

I was there in March and prices were slightly higher. Spent about $50/day all-in.

My tip: avoid weekends.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.

Adding my experience: scene has evolved since pre-COVID. Biggest change: some old spots closed.
