Safety update for Colombia based on recent experience and community reports:

General Safety Level: Moderate — use common sense and you will be fine.

Common Risks:
- Petty theft in crowded areas — keep valuables secure
- Tourist pricing — negotiate or walk away
- Romance scams — be skeptical of offers

Areas to Avoid:
Avoid the area around the bus station at night.

Police Situation:
Avoid any interaction with police if possible.

Stay safe out there.

This matches my experience. Colombia is underrated.

Been there 8 times now. Still one of my top destinations. The quality is what keeps me coming back.

I was there in last month and prices were about average. Spent about $120/day all-in.

My tip: avoid weekends.

First time was a learning experience. Second time was 10x smoother. Experience makes all the difference.

Spot on with the prices. Matches what I paid recently.
