Planning my first trip to Australia. Read through the older threads but wanted to check if info is still current.

My main questions:
1. Best area to stay for easy access to the scene?
2. Realistic daily budget including accommodation?
3. Any areas to avoid?
4. How is the quality compared to Czech Republic?
5. Best time of day to go out?

Coming from Canada with experience in Latin America but first time in Australia.

Any recent reports or recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

Different experience for me. Prices were about the same when I went.

Been there 12 times now. Still one of my top destinations. The value for money is what keeps me coming back.

Spot on with the prices. Matches what I paid recently.

First time was a learning experience. Second time was so much more efficient. Experience makes all the difference.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Did you use dating apps or find girls at the hotel?

I was there in last month and prices were great value. Spent about $150/day all-in.

My tip: midweek is much better.
