Back home after 5 days in Puerto Vallarta/Guadalajara. Let me share what I found.

Arrival and first impressions: Uber worked perfectly. Checked into my hotel near PV Malecon area.

Day 1-2: Explored the area, got the lay of the land. Noticed some tourist markups.

Days 3-5: Had some incredible experiences. The PV Malecon area area was exactly as described on the forum.

Prices: 1500-3000 MXN. Prices are pretty fixed here.

Tips for others: Learn a few phrases in the local language.

Would I go back? Absolutely.

Hmm, I had a different experience. When I went, prices were higher.

Interesting report but I think you may have overpaid. Next time try negotiating.

Great report! Quick question — how was the wifi at your hotel?

I was there in January and can add some detail:

Prices: Slightly higher than reported. I spent about $50/day on the hobby side.

Girls: Mostly locals. Quality was good.

My favorite spot was a small bar off the main strip.

One tip: Late night you get the best deals.

Adding to this thread with my own experience from February:

Things are much the same as always since my last visit in pre-COVID.

Biggest change: Some of the old spots have closed.

Still a great destination. Recommend for both beginners and veterans.

Adding to this thread with my own experience from 3 weeks ago:

I noticed some changes since my last visit in 2023.

Biggest change: More girls working online now.

Still a great destination. Solid 7/10.

Agreed on all points. One thing I'd add — make sure to bring small bills.

Interesting report but I think you may have overpaid. Next time try asking locals for recommendations.

With respect, I think this is a bit optimistic. My experience was more mixed.
