Quick question for the Portugal regulars — has anything changed in the last few months?

I was there last year and had a great time but I've heard new venues have opened.

Worth going back or should I try somewhere new?

Cheers

Nice report. Heading there next month — exactly the intel I needed.

Did you feel safe walking around at night?

This matches my experience. Portugal is one of my favorites.

Hmm, I had a different experience. Prices were higher when I went. Maybe timing matters.

With respect, my experience was more mixed. But maybe I went at the wrong time.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Adding my experience from February.

The scene has changed a bit since pre-COVID. Biggest change: more competition.

Good info. I'd add that going during the week is much better — less crowded, better prices.

This is outdated info IMO. Things have changed since the pandemic. Current prices are higher than what's described here.

Interesting take but I think you overpaid. Try using a different site next time.

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

Been going for years. The scene has shifted a bit but still good.

Not sure I agree about that area. I found the outskirts to be better value.
