Back home after 2 weeks in Indonesia. Let me share what I found.

Arrival and first impressions: Had a driver arranged in advance. Checked into my hotel near undefined.

Day 1-2: Explored the area, got the lay of the land. Noticed some tourist markups.

Days 3-5: Had some incredible experiences. The undefined area was surprisingly quiet.

Prices: In line with expectations. Didn't negotiate much.

Tips for others: Bring cash.

Would I go back? 100% — already saving for the next trip.

Great report! Quick question — how was the hotel security?

Good info. I'd add that the afternoon is the best time to go.

Thanks for sharing. Did you use a dating app or find girls through referrals?

Great report! Quick question — how was the ATM situation?

What was your total spend for the trip, roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

Been going there for years and this is accurate. The scene has shifted a bit recently.

Any restaurants or bars you'd recommend for hanging out during the day?

Can confirm. Was there 2 weeks ago and everything you said checks out.

Adding to this thread with my own experience from February:

The scene has definitely improved since my last visit in 2023.

Biggest change: Prices have gone up about 20%.

Still a great destination. One of my top 3 worldwide.

With respect, I think this is a bit optimistic. My experience was more mixed.

Not sure I agree about the area recommendation. I found a different neighborhood to be better.
