Just got back from Pattaya — trip report March 2026

Just got back from 10 days in Pattaya. Here's my detailed report.

Arrival and first impressions: Uber worked perfectly. Checked into my hotel near Soi Buakhao.

Day 1-2: Explored the area, got the lay of the land. Found the local spots quickly.

Days 3-5: Met some great girls. The Soi Buakhao area was surprisingly quiet.

Prices: 1000-2500 THB ST, 3000-5000 LT. Prices are pretty fixed here.

Tips for others: Book your hotel close to the action.

Would I go back? Definitely, this is now in my regular rotation.

The scene has definitely improved since my last visit in pre-COVID.

Biggest change: Some of the old spots have closed.

Still a great destination. Solid 7/10.

I was there in February and can add some detail:

Prices: Slightly higher than reported. I spent about $150/day on the hobby side.

Girls: International mix. Quality was varied.

My favorite spot was the freelancer area near the hotels.

One tip: Weekdays are quieter and better.
