Trip report: Philippines, early March 2026, 1 week. Overall rating: 7/10.

Arrival and first impressions: Taxi from airport was straightforward. Checked into my hotel near Subic Bay.

Day 1-2: Explored the area, got the lay of the land. Prices seemed fair.

Days 3-5: Had some incredible experiences. The Subic Bay area was busy but manageable.

Prices: In line with expectations. Pay the asking price — it's fair.

Tips for others: Book your hotel close to the action.

Would I go back? Absolutely.

I was there in January and can add some detail:

Prices: Exactly as described. I spent about $100/day on the hobby side.

Girls: Mix of local and working girls from other regions. Quality was above average.

My favorite spot was an agency I found online.

One tip: Go early in the evening for first pick.

Not sure I agree about the area recommendation. I found a different neighborhood to be better.
