Visited Dominican Republic for 10 days. Solid experience. Scene is quieter but worthwhile. Pricing up slightly.

Spent $111/day. Best part: variety.

Overall: 9/10. Would return.

Quick question — how was the hotel security?

Hmm, I had a different experience. Prices were lower when I went. Maybe timing matters.

Interesting take but I think you overpaid. Try using a different site next time.

Not sure I agree about that area. I found a different part to be better value.

This is outdated info IMO. Things have changed since last year. Current prices are actually lower than what's described here.

I was there in January and prices were slightly higher.

Spent about $66/day all-in. Quality was excellent.

My tip: the late night crowd is different.

With respect, my experience was more mixed. But maybe I went at the wrong time.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?
