Visited Dominican Republic for 5 days. Enjoyable experience. Scene is active. Pricing excellent value.

Spent $91/day. Best part: ease of arranging.

Overall: 7.5/10. One of my favourites.

Quick question — how was the Uber availability?

Agreed on all points. Make sure to book hotels in advance.

Spot on with the prices. That matches what I paid in February.

Adding my experience from February.

The scene has changed a bit since pre-COVID. Biggest change: more online activity.

I'd also recommend downloading Google Translate before you go. Essential.

Hmm, I had a different experience. Prices were lower when I went. Maybe timing matters.

Great report, thanks for sharing. I had a similar experience there last month.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

With respect, my experience was more mixed. But maybe I went at the wrong time.

I was there in January and prices were great value.

Spent about $72/day all-in. Quality was excellent.

My tip: midweek is golden hour.

Been going for years. The scene has shifted a bit but still good.

Good info. I'd add that going during the week is much better — less crowded, better prices.
