Safety update for Netherlands based on recent experience and community reports:

General Safety Level: Low risk if you stick to known areas.

Common Risks:
- Street touts steering you to overpriced venues
- Phone snatching — keep it in your front pocket
- Romance scams — be skeptical of offers

Areas to Avoid:
Stay out of unlit side streets after midnight.

Police Situation:
Corruption exists but tourists rarely targeted.

Stay safe out there.

Been there 5 times now. Still one of my top destinations. The consistency is what keeps me coming back.

Different experience for me. Prices were about the same when I went.

I was there in February and prices were exactly as described. Spent about $150/day all-in.

My tip: avoid weekends.
