Safety update for Safety & Police based on recent experience and community reports:

General Safety Level: Moderate — use common sense and you will be fine.

Common Risks:
- Drink spiking at bars — watch your drinks
- ATM skimming — use bank ATMs inside branches
- Room theft — use hotel safe

Areas to Avoid:
The outskirts have higher crime rates.

Police Situation:
Police checkpoints are common — carry ID.

Stay safe out there.

Did you use local sites or find girls at the hotel?

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Great report, thanks for sharing. Had a similar experience there last month.

First time was a learning experience. Second time was 10x smoother. Experience makes all the difference.

First time was good but could have been better. Second time was so much more efficient. Experience makes all the difference.

I was there in January and prices were great value. Spent about $150/day all-in.

My tip: go early evening.

Word of caution — do not carry too much cash. Other than that, great destination.

Adding my experience: scene has improved since pre-COVID. Biggest change: prices up 15-20%.
