Returned from 9 days in Medellin. Mixed feelings but mostly positive.

Accommodation:
Mid-range Airbnb near the main area. $73/night. Good location, basic amenities.

Scene:
Better than expected — plenty of options. Prices were slightly higher than expected.

Quality:
Better selection than last time. Had 7 encounters total.

Logistics:
Taxis are cheap but negotiate first. Street food was a highlight.

Safety:
Used common sense and had no problems.

Overall: 8.5/10. Good destination, recommend for first-timers.

Happy to answer any questions.

Been there 5 times now. Still one of my top destinations. The quality is what keeps me coming back.

Word of caution — be careful with street touts. Other than that, great destination.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

I was there in January and prices were about average. Spent about $150/day all-in.

My tip: go early evening.

First time was overwhelming but exciting. Second time was 10x smoother. Experience makes all the difference.
