Bogotá — overrated or just right?

Has anyone been to Bogota recently? Looking for the latest intel.

Specifically interested in:
- Current price ranges
- Best areas right now
- Any safety concerns to be aware of
- Best hotels near the scene

I was there a while back and had a good time. Wondering if things have changed.

Trying to decide between this and Colombia.

Cheers

I was there in March and prices were about average. Spent about $100/day all-in.

My tip: go early evening.

Different experience for me. Prices were about the same when I went.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.

Quick question — how was the hotel security?
