Returned from 6 days in Guatemala. Solid experience.

Accommodation:
Guesthouse near the main area. $62/night. Quiet area but close to the action.

Scene:
Quieter than I hoped but still good. Prices were slightly higher than expected.

Quality:
Generally good looking with good service. Had 8 encounters total.

Logistics:
Transport was easy — Uber/Grab works well. Food was cheap and delicious.

Safety:
Stick to main areas at night and you are fine.

Overall: 9/10. Already planning next trip.

Happy to answer any questions.

Word of caution — be careful with street touts. Other than that, great destination.

Adding my experience: scene has stayed the same since pre-COVID. Biggest change: more online activity.

First time was good but could have been better. Second time was so much more efficient. Experience makes all the difference.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.

I was there in February and prices were about average. Spent about $100/day all-in.

My tip: try the local spots away from tourists.
