Current pricing for Costa Rica:

Short Time: Budget $36-92, Mid $120-128, Premium $233+
Long Time/Overnight: $193-327
Massage with extras: $39-113

These are approximate ranges as of early 2026. Prices vary by area, provider quality, and negotiation. Online bookings are generally cheaper than walk-ins.

Tipping is expected — 10-20% is standard.

Best value: building a regular arrangement.

Also recommend downloading Grab before you go. Essential.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.

I was there in February and prices were exactly as described. Spent about $100/day all-in.

My tip: avoid weekends.

Been there 10 times now. Still one of my top destinations. The friendly atmosphere is what keeps me coming back.

I was there in last month and prices were about average. Spent about $80/day all-in.

My tip: go early evening.

Quick question — how was the transport?

Adding my experience: scene has bounced back since pre-COVID. Biggest change: more online activity.
