Returned from 5 days in Tips & Advice. Mixed feelings but mostly positive.

Accommodation:
Guesthouse near the main area. $57/night. Walking distance to everything.

Scene:
About what the forum described. Prices were great value.

Quality:
Varied — some great, some average. Had 8 encounters total.

Logistics:
Transport was easy — Uber/Grab works well. Eating out was very affordable.

Safety:
Used common sense and had no problems.

Overall: 7.5/10. Good destination, recommend for first-timers.

Happy to answer any questions.

Adding my experience: scene has evolved since pre-COVID. Biggest change: prices up 15-20%.

Word of caution — be careful with street touts. Other than that, great destination.

I was there in January and prices were about average. Spent about $100/day all-in.

My tip: avoid weekends.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.
