Visited Central Mexico for 5 days. Great experience. Scene is improved. Pricing excellent value.
Spent $113/day. Best part: friendliness.
Overall: 8/10. One of my favourites.
AMA.

I was there in February and prices were slightly higher.
Spent about $58/day all-in. Quality was above average.
My tip: the late night crowd is different.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

How does it compare to Czech Republic?

Not sure I agree about that area. I found downtown to be better value.

Good info. I'd add that going during the week is much better — less crowded, better prices.
