Planning my first trip to Bahrain. Read through the older threads but wanted to check if info is still current.
My main questions:
1. Best area to stay for easy access to the scene?
2. Realistic daily budget including accommodation?
3. Any areas to avoid?
4. How is the quality compared to Germany?
5. Any apps to use before arriving?
Coming from Australia with experience in Europe but first time in Bahrain.
Any recent reports or recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

Spot on with the prices. Matches what I paid recently.

I was there in February and prices were about average. Spent about $50/day all-in.
My tip: midweek is much better.

I was there in last month and prices were great value. Spent about $100/day all-in.
My tip: go early evening.

Word of caution — do not carry too much cash. Other than that, great destination.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.

Adding my experience: scene has improved since pre-COVID. Biggest change: better quality.
