Planning my first trip to East Coast. Read through the older threads but wanted to check if info is still current.

My main questions:
1. Best area to stay for easy access to the scene?
2. Realistic daily budget including accommodation?
3. Any areas to avoid?
4. How is the quality compared to Colombia?
5. How is the language barrier?

Coming from the US with experience in a few different countries but first time in East Coast.

Any recent reports or recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

I was there in January and prices were great value. Spent about $150/day all-in.

My tip: midweek is much better.

First time was overwhelming but exciting. Second time was so much more efficient. Experience makes all the difference.

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.

Spot on with the prices. Matches what I paid recently.
