Has anyone been to Chiang Mai recently? Looking for the latest intel.

Specifically interested in:
- Current price ranges
- Best areas right now
- Any safety concerns to be aware of
- Apps or platforms to use

I was there in 2024 and had a good time. Wondering if things have changed.

Any recent trip reports would be helpful.

Cheers

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Word of caution — some online profiles are fake. Other than that, great destination.

Been there 12 times now. Still one of my top destinations. The value for money is what keeps me coming back.

Adding my experience: scene has evolved since pre-COVID. Biggest change: some old spots closed.
