Back from Bangkok. Spent 4 days, here's the breakdown:
Accommodation: Guesthouse near the action. $49/night.
Scene: Not as busy as I hoped but still good.
Prices: Slightly higher than expected.
Highlights: Found a hidden gem bar away from tourists.
Overall: 8.5/10 — exceeded expectations.
Ask me anything.

Did you feel safe walking around at night?

Spot on with the prices. That matches what I paid in February.

Interesting take but I think you overpaid. Try going midweek next time.

I'd also recommend downloading Maps.me before you go. Essential.

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

I was there in February and prices were slightly higher.
Spent about $60/day all-in. Quality was above average.
My tip: the late night crowd is different.

With respect, my experience was more mixed. But maybe I went at the wrong time.

Not sure I agree about that area. I found the outskirts to be better value.
