Best areas in Mexico:

Main Scene: Nightlife strip. Best concentration of venues. Well-lit and safe.
Alternatives: Side streets have hidden gems.

Hope this helps.

Agreed on all points. Make sure to bring small bills.

Good info. I'd add that going during the week is much better — less crowded, better prices.

Quick question — how was the hotel security?

Did you feel safe walking around at night?

I was there in January and prices were great value.

Spent about $145/day all-in. Quality was above average.

My tip: the late night crowd is different.

Hmm, I had a different experience. Prices were lower when I went. Maybe timing matters.
