Been thinking about visiting General Information and wanted to get the latest intel from those who've been recently.

Specifically interested in:
1. Current price ranges
2. Best areas to base yourself
3. Any safety concerns
4. How's the quality compared to Colombia?

Any recent trip reports would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

With respect, my experience was more mixed. But maybe I went at the wrong time.

This is outdated info IMO. Things have changed since last year. Current prices are actually lower than what's described here.

Not sure I agree about that area. I found a different part to be better value.

I was there in March and prices were slightly higher.

Spent about $103/day all-in. Quality was above average.

My tip: midweek is golden hour.
