I visited Portugal recently for 7 days and had a positive experience.

The scene is Scene has improved recently. Prices up 10-15% from last year.

Spent about $60/day on the hobby side. Best part was how easy everything was.

Overall: 9/10. Solid destination.

Happy to answer questions.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Adding my experience from last month.

The scene has changed a bit since pre-COVID. Biggest change: more online activity.

I'd also recommend downloading Grab before you go. Essential.

Good info. I'd add that going during the week is much better — less crowded, better prices.

I was there in January and prices were slightly higher.

Spent about $83/day all-in. Quality was good.

My tip: go early evening for best selection.

How does it compare to Thailand?
