I have visited Turkey multiple times and wanted to share thoughts on the best areas.

Main Scene Area:
The primary area is the tourist entertainment zone. Highest concentration of venues and freelancers. Can be overwhelming at first but you learn the layout quickly.

Alternative Areas:
Secondary area about 15 min by taxi offers better value.

Areas to Avoid:
Stay away from port/station area at night.

Accommodation:
Mid-range hotels close to the action work best.

Hope this helps anyone planning their first visit.

I was there in January and prices were great value.

Spent about $98/day all-in. Quality was excellent.

My tip: midweek is golden hour.

Adding my experience from February.

The scene has improved since pre-COVID. Biggest change: prices up 20%.

With respect, my experience was more mixed. But maybe I went at the wrong time.

Good info. I'd add that going during the week is much better — less crowded, better prices.
